3D Robot
The most ideal 3D Builder is the 3D Robot itself. The same machine that can assemble things can also deposit material, machine material and heat materials up. This machine can move around on a xy axis (using a omniwheel base). Has robot arms on top with a connect to move things around for assembly. The connect can also connect to tool heads. There are a few tool heads.
1. A material deposition. This tool head can deposit powders and liquids and extrude soft materials.
2. A print head. This tool head can deposit molten plastic.
3. A machine head this tool head can machine materials. Both sheets and 3D post processing.
4. Heat head. This tool can heat materials up to high temperatures. From a blow torch to welding torch to a electrical arc to a
laser this tool can heat things up close or using a kiln (enclosure) melt in bulk.
The machine can also move around and hence can reload all needed materials.
The machine should operate on a fuel cell as its power plant (H2, Al, or Mg) and be capable of storing materials onboard needed for its job. It should also be capable of refilling on its own for all of the usable materials.
3D Robot
Right now this robot is the primary objective. We are working on getting a working prototype of this robot very soon.
Right out of the box the robot will be able to print on a acceptable surface and machine materials especially sheets and will be able to move the things around using a connect as well as switch tool heads and refill automatically.
The rest (and there is a lot), will come later and we will work tirelessly to integrate it into the robot.
This is a early rendering of what the robot will look like. This robot will single handedly be the most important robot in the system.
